What it is

ReadPerfect shows an ebook one word or a short phrase at a time. Read it with the arrows, or — on a computer or tablet with a keyboard — type each word straight onto the page to practise touch-typing while you read.

Your books stay on your device

• Books are opened and stored in your browser (IndexedDB), together with your reading position, typing stats and settings. Nothing is uploaded. The only thing ever sent is a message you write in the feedback form below, when you press Send.
• There is no account, no sign-up and no cookies.
• Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics — no cookies, no personal data, and never anything about your books.
• Once opened over HTTPS the app also works offline.

Keep a backup

Clearing this site's data, or a browser removing data for a site you haven't used in a while, deletes the library. Use Back up library on the home page now and then, and Restore from backup to bring it back — on this device or another.

Feedback

A book that would not open, something confusing, an idea? Tell me here. It is checked for spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, and nothing else about you is collected.

Which books work

DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. Books bought from most stores are copy-protected (DRM) and cannot be opened; public-domain books, for example from Project Gutenberg or Standard Ebooks, work well.
